Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Compensation Administrator to support compensation program administration, annual bonus/merit processes, and pay-range reviews. You will analyze market trends, prepare surveys and data, and advise HR partners on pay structures while ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws.

The role involves maintaining job descriptions, collaborating with HRIS teams, and assisting in compensation analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of education or equivalent experience in HR or related field including 2+ years supporting a Compensation function.
• PHR-HRCI or equivalent certification preferred.
• CCP - Certified Compensation Professional preferred.
• Knowledge of wage and hour laws, compensation practices, including state equity pay regulations and FLSA compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel and PowerBI experience; ability to create comprehensive spreadsheets and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews of functional areas; analyze market trends; complete statistical reports and assist in developing recommendations to attract, retain, and reward employees.
• Provide support for HR partners by supplying pay grades, ranges and data for new positions, hires, promotions, etc.
• Perform research to ensure pay plans remain competitive and recommend adjustments and program enhancements.
• Prepare salary survey submissions, market assessments and related analyses.
• Administer the annual merit and bonus process, manage data, train staff, and provide compensation guidance to HR and managers.
• Maintain and update job descriptions; evaluate jobs and determine classifications.
• Assist with analytics, creating reports and presentations for HR Leadership.
• Support development and maintenance of compensation data in HRIS systems; maximize HRIS capabilities for compensation programs.
