Job summary

Dominium, a national affordable housing developer and manager, seeks a Senior Community Manager to oversee floating property operations, staffing, and resident relations. This role ensures compliant, financially sound operations and supports leasing efforts.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in multifamily property management, strong leadership, and proficiency with property management software like Yardi. Travel to multiple properties is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in business, property management or real estate preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in multifamily property management.
• Tax credit and affordable housing experience (Section 42/Section 8) strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient in property management software (Yardi preferred).
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel/Word/Outlook).
• Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local housing laws/regulations.
• Ability to travel frequently and adapt quickly to different properties.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations at a property or properties in floating capacity, including leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
• Lead small specialty projects to improve operations, resident satisfaction, or compliance.
• Ensure compliance with housing programs and local laws; supervise site personnel.
• Set schedules and assign personnel for proper management and maintenance.
• Implement rent collection and budget adherence, ensure proper financial procedures.
• Provide performance updates to Regional Manager and VP of Property Management with key metrics.
• Collaborate with residents to maintain good communication and resolve issues timely.
• Process applicant files for screening per property housing programs (Section 8, etc.).
• Stay current with federal/state/local housing laws; support leasing efforts and training.
