Job summary

Sentry Insurance Company is seeking a Communications Specialist to operationalize corporate communications and coach senior leaders on strategic issues. You will define work plans, manage campaigns and events, and provide expert advisement while building relationships across the organization.

The role emphasizes collaboration with leadership, external communications components, and change management to move stakeholders toward future state. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Experience delivering customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Experience coaching and advising senior leaders, including on external/news media communications.
• Experience developing and managing internal communication plans and strategies.
• Experience implementing communication strategies with external components.
• Extensive knowledge of communication tools (intranet, social media, video).
• Strong change management principles applied to communications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and provide communications coaching for strategic leadership team members.
• Direct communications support for assigned senior leadership on strategic issues.
• Respond to unexpected communication needs with calm professionalism and results.
• Define work plans to organize communications, campaigns, projects or events into tasks with time, budget, and resources estimates.
• Serve as a subject matter expert by advising, coaching and giving feedback to team members.
• Build and maintain relationships with key leaders, business partners, and internal departments.
