Iridium Communications Inc. seeks a Senior Communications Specialist to support executive and internal communications across the enterprise. You will develop structured programs, draft leadership communications, and collaborate with HR, Marketing, and business leaders on messaging and reporting.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications, this role emphasizes data-driven insights, audience segmentation, and timely updates across channels in a high-visibility, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in executive communications, internal communications, or corporate PR.
• Exceptional executive-level writing, editing, and message development skills.
• Demonstrated experience designing and executing structured communications or PR programs.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism with sensitive information.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across functions.
• Analytical mindset with experience translating data into insight and action.
• Comfort operating in high-visibility, high-stakes environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate structured communications programs for executives and employees.
• Draft and coordinate leadership emails, internal announcements, talking points, briefing notes, and updates.
• Assist with internal communications planning for business initiatives, organizational changes, and leadership priorities.
• Help define and update audience segmentation and ensure channels meet needs.
• Support management of key channels (email, intranet, town halls, leadership updates).
• Partner with HR and leaders to provide timely, clear communications on engagement and change.
• Coordinate messaging across teams to reduce redundancy and maintain consistency.
• Gather feedback through surveys and sentiment tracking; develop insights.
• Assist in measuring communication effectiveness and preparing reports.
