Job summary

Leech Lake Band Of Ojibwe seeks a Dispatch Center Supervisor to direct the LLBO Tribal Police Communications Center. The role manages six dispatchers, ensures 24/7 coverage, screens emergency calls, and uses the CAD system to dispatch police, fire, medical, and other units.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work with federal/state networks while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; 21+ years old.
• Public safety dispatch experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise six dispatchers and schedule 24/7 operations.
• Maintain employee personnel files including hiring, termination, evaluation, promotion and training.
• Receive and screen emergency calls for law enforcement, fire, medical, or other services.
• Enter information into CAD and operate dispatch network to relay instructions.
• Coordinate with counties and law enforcement agencies; maintain logs and prepare reports.
• Maintain training equipment, test gear, and ensure compliance with procedures.
