Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of organizational leadership and communications.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in writing and developing strategic communications plans at organizational level.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Tribe’s senior communications advisor to the Executive Director and Tribal Leadership.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy supporting Tribal priorities.
• Build collaborative relationships with Tribal divisions, leadership, elected officials and external partners.
• Oversee De-Bah-Ji-Mon newspaper, KOJB radio and the Tribe’s websites.
• Ensure communications reflect the values, culture and priorities of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
