Columbia Bank in Santa Barbara, CA seeks an experienced Underwriter to assess Middle Market credit requests, including working capital, CRE, and equipment financing, from revenue >$5M. You will collaborate with CSMs and Relationship Managers to present findings, risk mitigations, and obtain credit approvals.

You will analyze financial data, draft concise credit recommendations, monitor borrower performance, and support policy compliance.

Formación

• 7-10 years of commercial underwriting/credit analysis experience or relevant lending experience.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced credit quality skills including accounting, financial statement spreading, and cash flow analysis.
• Ability to train and present to small and large audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze business, industry, financial data and other supporting credit information concerning an applicant’s credit request.
• Prepare timely, concise and accurate credit recommendations with proper risk rating.
• Monitor borrower financial performance and covenant calculations in line with loan documents.
• Oversee work of other underwriters/credit analysts to ensure high-quality reports.
