Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to assess middle-market credit requests, including working capital lines, asset-based lines, CRE loans, and equipment financing. You will work with Client Solutions Managers and Relationship Managers to present thorough credit analyses and risk mitigations for timely approvals.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years of underwriting/credit analysis experience, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of commercial underwriting/credit analysis experience.
• Advanced knowledge of credit policies, procedures and documentation.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal Middle Market credits including working capital, asset-based, CRE and equipment financing.
• Collaborate with Client Solutions Managers and Relationship Managers to present findings and risk mitigations for approval.
• Monitor borrower performance and ensure compliance with loan covenants and documentation.
• Provide coaching or training to other underwriters or analysts as needed.
