Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a seasoned Commercial Banker in the Boulder metro area. You will develop new business, manage a high-value loan and deposit portfolio, analyze financial information to evaluate credit worthiness, and compile loan packages ensuring completeness and regulatory compliance.

The role requires underwriting loans per policy, pricing according to current guidelines, and building consultative relationships with prospects and clients to deliver appropriate banking solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, banking or related field.
• 5–10 years commercial lending experience with credit analysis responsibilities.
• Strong sales, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; knowledge of banking regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business through sales efforts in a SouthState metropolitan market.
• Manage a high level loan and deposit portfolio and provide superior client service.
• Underwrite loan requests and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Price loans and deposits according to current Bank pricing guidelines.
• Collaborate with Credit to properly risk grade each loan and manage risk.
