Job summary

The County of Alameda - Assessor seeks an Appraisers III to conduct in-depth appraisal work on commercial and industrial real property for ad valorem tax purposes. You will work independently in the field and office, performing full valuation duties with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include data collection, field investigations, and contributing to training procedures for appraisal staff, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant laws and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience as Appraiser II or equivalent.
• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university.
• Eligibility for temporary appraiser’s certificate upon hire and permanent certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data for the appraisal of commercial and industrial real property.
• Appraise and perform real property valuation for ad valorem tax purposes.
