Qualifications

• Two years’ full-time experience as Appraiser III in the Alameda County classified service or one year as Supervising Appraiser I or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years’ full-time experience in real property appraisal, including two years in commercial/industrial appraisal and at least one year supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and review the work of subordinates performing property appraisals.
• Complete appraisals of residential, rural, commercial and industrial properties.
• Supervise Appraiser I/II/III and may oversee clerical staff.
• Ensure compliance with appraisal standards and training requirements.
