Peapack Private Bank & Trust is seeking an experienced Commercial Private Banker III - C&I to develop, manage, and expand a portfolio of middle-market client relationships with a high-touch, relationship-driven approach.

The role requires strong credit expertise, business development skills, and collaboration with Treasury, Wealth, and Trust teams to deliver tailored lending, deposit, and advisory solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial banking experience with a focus on C&I relationship management for middle-market and upper-middle-market clients.
• Proven track record of originating, managing, and growing profitable commercial banking relationships.
• Strong credit analysis, underwriting, and loan structuring expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver a private banking-style, relationship-based client experience.
• Established network of referral sources and centers of influence.
• Experience using a CRM system to manage client relationships, referrals, and business development activities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilités

• Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of C&I relationships with privately held mid-market clients.
• Originate new business through proactive calling, networking, referrals, and centers of influence.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, delivering proactive, responsive, consultative service.
• Structure, underwrite, and manage complex C&I credit relationships and financing solutions.
• Prepare credit memoranda and recommendations for approval.
• Monitor portfolio performance, credit quality, covenant compliance, and risk.
• Collaborate with Treasury Management, Wealth, Trust, and other specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Identify client needs and refer to internal partners to support cross-sell opportunities.
• Maintain deep understanding of each client's business and strategic needs.
