Job summary

Kearny Bank is seeking a VP, Commercial Loan Officer - C&I to identify and develop profitable C&I relationships across the bank's market. The role focuses on growing loan commitments and deposits by meeting prospects and existing clients with complex financing needs.

The candidate will coordinate with underwriting and risk teams, manage portfolios, and present loan requests to committees. Travel to client sites and events is expected; residency in territory required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of lending or related field experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Experience with Abrigo is preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and retain C&I business by meeting financing needs of complexity.
• Solicit credit-worthy clients to develop new business and retain relationships.
• Prospect borrowers including property buyers, brokers, CPAs and attorneys.
• Coordinate with underwriting, risk and credit management to ensure compliance.
• Manage portfolios, monitor financial condition, and perform site visits.
• Present loan requests for committee review and manage the sales lifecycle.
