Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to support the commercial loan and deposit portfolio for one or more Relationship Managers (Commercial with some CRE). You will provide quality underwriting, sound portfolio management and superior client service.

Responsibilities include preparing credit memos, analyzing borrower cash flows, and guiding loans through the approval process while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in credit analysis and commercial banking with portfolio management focus.
• Knowledge of Federal and State lending regulations and bank policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes financial information to evaluate credit worthiness of loan requests and portfolio management.
• Compiles commercial loan packages with background information, borrower analysis, risk and recommendations.
• Guides loan requests through Credit Approval Process and ensures structure meets client needs.
• Ensures documentation for loans and treasury management approvals are in files and compliant.
• Maintains positive relationships with internal partners and supports regulatory compliance.
