Job summary

First Financial Bank in Michigan is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to manage a portfolio of client relationships in accordance with bank policies and risk management practices. You will conduct in-person client meetings, analyze financial statements, and participate in the loan approval and credit review processes.

You will work with Credit and Sales teams to prepare opportunity memos, model deals, monitor collateral, and lead portfolio reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 7 years of Commercial banking and/or Credit Underwriting experience.
• Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing client relationship development and maintenance including onsite visits and periodic calls.
• Expand existing client relationships by reviewing evolving financial needs.
• Maintain credit quality of the assigned portfolio.
• Collaborate with Credit to underwrite loans and review borrower performance.
• Participate in new deal process with opportunity memos and deal models.
• Coordinate collateral monitoring and compliance with covenants.
