Banc of California in Menlo Park seeks an experienced Commercial Lending Officer to source opportunities, negotiate term sheets, and underwrite CRE loan requests. You will guide credit packages through review and closing processes.

The role emphasizes relationship development with clients and referral sources, thorough financial analysis, and collaboration with loan admins and legal counsel to ensure timely closings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6–8 years in commercial lending, including valuation and asset management, and financial analysis.
• BA degree in finance or related field.
• Demonstrates knowledge of compliance with state and federal regulations (Reg Z, Reg B, HMDA, FCRA, BSA/AML, CRA).
• Proficient with loan documentation, collateral analysis, and financial statements.
• Proficient with Excel; familiarity with Argus and Moody’s analysis systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and grow new client relationships and foster existing ones.
• Analyze commercial lending opportunities including working capital lines and owner-occupied real estate loans.
• Review borrower and guarantor balance sheets and cash flows to assess credit facilities.
• Prepare credit displays and investment analyses for review by managers and credit admins.
• Coordinate with loan administration and legal counsel to process and close facilities.
• Monitor market trends and maintain a network of referral sources.
