Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to lead complex commercial portfolio analyses, underwriting, and risk assessment. You will review financial statements and tax returns, collaborate with lenders, and mentor team members to meet project deliverables while ensuring policy compliance.

You will participate in client meetings, drive risk reviews, and manage reporting systems, fostering a strong, compliant, and results-oriented team in a dynamic credit union environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a quantitative field preferred.
• Minimum of five years or more experience in commercial portfolio management for a financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Participate in meetings with the Commercial Lender in meetings with the client or prospects.
• Interview applicants to obtain information concerning projects, financial needs, and goals for risk determinations.
• Assure that all relevant information is provided to the credit department for review of risk.
• Monitor ongoing risk of the exposure and conduct regular reviews of borrowers and related entities.
• Maintain risk assessments and escalate credits with increased risk.
• Maintain tickler and reporting systems for loan documentation and covenant tracking.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws related to credit union operations.
• Foster a positive team environment and mentor colleagues.
