Columbia Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to manage a $50–$200 million loan portfolio in the Redding, CA area. You will underwrite, monitor credit risk, and collaborate with the Commercial Relationship Manager to support client relationships and cross-sell products.

The role requires strong financial analysis, presentation skills, and in-depth knowledge of credit policies. Onsite work in Redding, CA with regular interaction with Credit Administration and customers.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of relevant commercial lending experience and/or prior experience as a Commercial Credit Underwriter or Commercial Relationship Manager (Required)
• Strong knowledge of commercial underwriting, credit monitoring and portfolio management.
• Advanced understanding of credit policy and procedures and can accurately risk-rate loans/credits, evaluates both cash-flow and collateral-based loans/credits.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, credit monitor, and manage a $50–$200 million commercial loan portfolio.
• Analyze financial data to determine merits of loan requests and present recommendations to Credit Administration.
• Partner with the Commercial Relationship Manager as the client liaison and cross-sell bank products.
• Ensure compliance with credit policy, procedures, and regulatory guidelines across the portfolio.
• Attend customer meetings and expand relationships by promoting bank products and services.
