Columbia Bank seeks an experienced Commercial Real Estate underwriter to underwrite and prepare credit presentations for complex CRE loans, including construction, bridge, and permanent financing. You will collaborate with Relationship Managers to deepen full banking relationships and monitor a large CRE portfolio with a focus on risk assessment and compliant underwriting.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in underwriting/credit analysis, strong analytical, cash-flow and market data skills, and

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of commercial underwriting/credit analysis experience.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced credit and credit quality skills including accounting, financial statement spreading, and cash flow analysis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Underwrites and prepares credit presentations for complex CRE loans.
• Monitors a large CRE loan portfolio with construction, bridge, and permanent loans.
• Collaborates with RMs to deepen relationships across the banking portfolio.
• Analyzes appraisal and market data to assess market risk of CRE projects.
• Assesses covenant calculations and ensures compliance with loan documents.
• Oversees or mentors junior underwriters or credit analysts when needed.
