Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Service Technician III to operate as a senior/journeyman-level expert, handling complex commercial hvac service calls and startups nationwide.

You will lead service efforts, mentor juniors, ensure code compliance and safety, and document all work for billing and warranty purposes. A strong background in diagnostics, systems like RTUs, chillers, boilers, and controls is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hands-on commercial HVAC service, repair, and maintenance.
• EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred).
• NATE and manufacturer-specific training a plus; OSHA 10/30 hours a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems.
• Lead full service calls from dispatch to completion and communicate findings to customers.
• Mentor Service Technician I and II; promote safety and quality standards.
• Ensure code compliance and energy efficiency; document work orders and reports.
• Work across rooftops, chillers, boilers, VAV, and control systems with PPE compliance.
