Jobot in Columbia, SC is seeking a Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems on-site. This field-based role requires independence, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to handle complex mechanical, electrical, and DX systems.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in the field, EPA Universal Certification, and a valid driver’s license.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
• Experience servicing RTUs, rooftops, packaged units and DX systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose commercial/industrial HVAC systems on-site.
• Service and repair RTUs, rooftops, packaged units and DX systems.
• Operate independently in diverse facilities to ensure uptime.
• Document work performed and communicate findings to customers.

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair Commercial and Industrial HVAC Systems. This is a field-based Service role for someone who is comfortable working independently, diagnosing complex Mechanical, Electrical and Refrigeration issues, and servicing a variety of Commercial HVAC equipment.

MUST HAVE:

• 5+ Years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC Service experience
• Strong HVAC Troubleshooting and Diagnostics experience
• Experience servicing RTUs, Rooftop Units, Packaged Units and DX Systems
• Strong Refrigeration and Electrical Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read Electrical Schematics and Wiring Diagrams
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid Driver's License

NICE TO HAVE:

• Boiler experience
• Chiller experience
• AHUs and Chilled Water Systems
• Cooling Towers
• BAS/Controls or DDC experience
• VFD and VAV troubleshooting
• CRAC Units
• Trane, Carrier, York/JCI, Daikin or Mitsubishi experience
