Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Chapel Hill, NC to troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This field-based role requires independence and the ability to handle complex mechanical, electrical and refrigeration issues across a variety of equipment.

You will work with RTUs, rooftops, packaged units and DX systems, demonstrate strong refrigeration and electrical skills, read schematics, and hold EPA Universal certification

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics capabilities.
• Experience servicing RTUs, rooftop units, packaged units and DX systems.
• Solid refrigeration and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• EPA Universal Certification and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
• Work in the field independently to diagnose complex mechanical/electrical/refrigeration issues.
• Maintain and service a variety of commercial HVAC equipment.

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair Commercial and Industrial HVAC Systems. This is a field-based Service role for someone who is comfortable working independently, diagnosing complex Mechanical, Electrical and Refrigeration issues, and servicing a variety of Commercial HVAC equipment.

MUST HAVE:

• 5+ Years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC Service experience
• Strong HVAC Troubleshooting and Diagnostics experience
• Experience servicing RTUs, Rooftop Units, Packaged Units and DX Systems
• Strong Refrigeration and Electrical Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read Electrical Schematics and Wiring Diagrams
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid Driver's License

NICE TO HAVE:

• Boiler experience
• Chiller experience
• AHUs and Chilled Water Systems
• Cooling Towers
• BAS/Controls or DDC experience
• VFD and VAV troubleshooting
• CRAC Units
• Commercial Refrigeration and Restaurant Equipment experience
• Trane, Carrier, York/JCI, Daikin or Mitsubishi experience
