Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Suffolk, VA seeks a Commercial Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead multi-phase electrical projects, ensure safety and NEC compliance, and drive new business opportunities.

You will manage objectives, financials, and client relations, represent the company in meetings, and travel as needed. A strong background in electrical construction and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical construction project management on $10M+ projects.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
• Valid Electrical License at Journeyman or Master level preferred.
• Strong computer, communications, and interpersonal skills.
• Industry knowledge of electrical vendors.
• Ability to travel.
• Pre-employment background and MVR checks when operating motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall management in all phases of construction for one or more commercial electrical projects.
• Develops new business opportunities relative to a particular client, group of clients or geographical area.
• Ensures work adheres to NEC, safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Represents company in project meetings and assists in labor negotiations.
• Manages financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests and maintains client relationships.
• Travel as required.
