Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical seeks a Commercial Electrical Construction Project Manager/Estimator in Suffolk, Virginia. The role supervises the total construction effort to meet design, budget and schedule while coordinating onsite functions and directing craft workers.

It requires 4 years PM/estimating experience in commercial electrical work and a preferred Journeyman/Master license. Proficiency with MS Office and ACCUBID estimating software is expected; a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Combination of 4 years project management/estimating experience in commercial electrical construction.
• Valid Electrical License on Journeyman or Master level strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising craft workers.
• Knowledge of electrical construction and service management methods, NEC, estimating, scheduling and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise total construction effort to ensure projects meet design, budget and schedule.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions including scheduling, material control and support staff.
• Provide direction to craft workers and contractor/sub-contractor teams as required.
• Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings and construction methods.
• Complete estimating and documentation for extra work and issue change orders.
• Manage productivity of craft workers and efficient use of materials and equipment.
