IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a senior on-site supervisor for commercial electrical construction projects in the Suffolk, VA area.

You will oversee the total construction effort, coordinate scheduling, material control, and on-site support staff to ensure work is completed per design, budget, and schedule. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of project management/estimating experience in commercial electrical settings, and preferably hold an electrical license at Journeyman or

Qualifications

• The role requires a combination of project management and estimating experience in commercial electrical construction and service settings.
• An electrical license at Journeyman or Master level is strongly preferred.
• Experience supervising craft workers and managing onsite teams is expected.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements, contracts, scheduling and safety is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and estimating software (ACCUBID appreciated).
• Validity of driver's license and pass pre-employment checks is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of total construction effort to ensure projects meet design, budget, and schedule.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions including scheduling, material control, and support staff.
• Provide direction to craft workers and contractor/sub-contractor workers as required.
• Provide technical assistance such as drawings interpretation and construction method recommendations.
• Complete estimating and documentation for extra work and issue change orders.
• Manage productivity and use of materials/equipment and overall contractual performance.
