Job summary

DuraServ is seeking an experienced Commercial Door & Dock Technician to install, service, and maintain commercial dock and door systems across Phoenix and Tempe, AZ. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, fabricate mounting hardware, and read wiring diagrams to guide repairs.

You will work independently on on-site calls, uphold safety standards, and document all activities for future maintenance. Competitive pay and full benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Valid, current state-issued driver's license — field travel to customer sites is daily
• Ability to meet physical demands: regular fieldwork outdoors, frequent ladder use, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly
• Trade school certificate or diploma valued along with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain commercial dock and door equipment to manufacturer standards.
• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting across equipment types; diagnose root causes, not symptoms.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate brackets, mounts, and installation hardware.
• Read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to guide repairs accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean job site and comply with OSHA policies and PPE requirements.
• Document all service activity with precision and recommendations for future maintenance.
• Communicate clearly with customers, providing real-time status updates and explaining additional service needs.
