DuraServ is seeking an Experienced Commercial Door & Dock Technician for Elkridge, MD to diagnose, install, and service commercial dock and door systems on-site. You will own complex service calls, read manuals, and make precise repairs, ensuring customers’ facilities stay running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Valid, current state driver's license; daily field travel to customer sites.
• Ability to meet physical demands: outdoors, frequent ladder use, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with commercial dock and door systems including sectional doors, rolling doors, dock levelers, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain commercial dock and door equipment to manufacturer standards.
• perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting across a wide range of equipment types; diagnose root causes.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate brackets, mounts, and installation hardware.
• Read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to guide diagnostics and repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean job site and comply with OSHA safety policies.
• Document all service activity with precision and provide recommendations for future maintenance.
• Communicate clearly with customers, providing real-time job status updates and avoiding overselling.
• Support teammates on larger installations and adapt to changing schedules.
