Job summary

Southwest Heritage Bank is seeking a Credit Underwriter to analyze financial information, prepare credit presentations, and monitor loan portfolios. You will determine loan fit with credit standards and coordinate with lenders on SBA, CRE, and commercial business loans.

The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of lending practices, and the ability to manage risk across a diverse portfolio. The CU collaborates with lenders to ensure timely renewals, reviews, and compliance with loan

Qualifications

• BS/BA in business and 3-5 years banking experience or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in lending activities, terminology, products and services.
• Strong knowledge of SBA programs and USDA loan programs.

Responsibilities

• Gathers data from customers and prospects; analyzes financial information and tax returns.
• Prepares Credit Presentations and annual reviews; coordinates loan pipeline with Lenders.
• Develops risk ratings; monitors portfolio for signs of stress and recommends upgrades/downgrades.
