Job summary

UMB Bank in Fresno, CA is seeking a Client Manager to manage a mid-to-large commercial portfolio, with a secondary focus on deepening client relationships and revenue growth. You will coordinate with officers to service clients, monitor credit quality, and identify cross-sell opportunities across bank product lines while maintaining strong client relations.

A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of commercial banking or lending experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting / Finance or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years commercial banking or lending experience including credit underwriting.
• Advanced knowledge of credit and underwriting.
• Strong financial acumen.
• Ability to interpret policies and loan contracts; understanding of credit reports and financial statements.
• Self-starter with initiative and strong communication (verbal & written).
• Proven ability to prospect and network at various levels within a company.
• Strong analytical skills; strategic sales meetings skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with other officers to administer management of assigned commercial banking relationships.
• Maintain a portfolio by calling on existing customers to expand business and ensure credit quality.
• Provide recurring customer service to clients, including joint sales calls and direct correspondence.
• Serve as a conduit for all product lines and match client needs with appropriate products; cross-sell opportunities.
