Job summary

Onity Group Inc. is seeking a Commercial Special Servicing Senior Asset Manager to oversee loss mitigation, enforcement and liquidation for a diverse loan portfolio. You will contact borrowers, assess collateral operations, negotiate workouts and coordinate with legal counsel, managers and brokers.

Responsibilities include reviewing reports, evaluating market conditions, preparing business plans, and directing vendors to maximize recoveries. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years managing defaulted commercial business loans.
• Deep knowledge of lender default remedies and enforcement.
• Understanding of loan covenants and compliance.
• CRE income property fundamentals and property operations analysis.
• Knowledge of CRE loan documentation.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Proficiency with MS 365, Adobe, and loan servicing apps.

Responsibilities

• Review performing loan reports to identify loans at risk of default.
• Initiate contact with defaulted borrowers to identify resolution plans.
• Assess borrower finances, property operations and conditions.
• Review credit reports and asset search results.
• Review loan documents for borrower requirements and remedies.
• Negotiate workouts and structure loan modifications as needed.
• Direct and monitor third‑party vendors and appraisers.
• Prepare business plans and status reports for investors.
• Provide SME input and mentor junior staff.
• Travel as needed (5%–25%).
