Job summary

CCFBank in Wisconsin seeks a Senior Collections Specialist to minimize losses, guide customers through financial challenges, and mentor teammates within our Collections function.

You will lead delinquent and charged-off accounts, negotiate repayment plans, support workouts across Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, VA, USDA, SBA programs, and ensure adherence to bank policies and regulations. This role partners with the AVP to implement recovery strategies and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Associates' degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
• Two (2) years of related full-time experience may substitute degree.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial services.
• Four (4) years in collections or customer service.
• Experience with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, VA, USDA, and SBA loan programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection and recovery efforts for delinquent and charged-off loan accounts.
• Contact customers to discuss payment obligations and negotiate repayment arrangements.
• Assist with loan workouts, settlements, bankruptcies, repossessions, and foreclosures.
• Work with AVP and external agencies to support collection efforts.
• Research delinquent accounts and document collection activities.
• Monitor portfolios to identify high-risk accounts and recommend action.
• Create and maintain department procedures and drive process improvements.
• Mentor and assist other Collections Specialists.
• Participate in bank projects and system updates.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.
