Job summary

Upgrade is seeking a Senior Collections Strategy Analyst to own analytics and strategy for post- and pre-charge-off recovery operations. You will build reporting infrastructure, testing frameworks, and cross-functional partnerships to manage third-party agencies, dialer strategy, DSC relationships, and hardship programs.

The role requires rigorous analysis, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to implement strategy where little exists today.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in analytics or strategy within fintech/consumer finance.
• Advanced SQL and ability to query large datasets independently.
• Experience building dashboards in Tableau or equivalent BI tool.
• Experience designing and analyzing test-and-learn experiments (A/B tests).

Responsibilities

• Build an analytics framework for the recovery program, including debt sale, third-party agency outsourcing, and DSC settlements.
• Design, test, and maintain dialer strategy for pre-charge-off accounts.
• Lead test-and-learn experiments to optimize strategy based on results.
• Create quarterly business reviews for third-party collection agencies with KPIs.
• Own digital communication strategy across email, SMS, and AI voice channels.
• Analyze settlement performance with DSCs including acceptance rates and recovery yield.
• Evaluate hardship program design and effectiveness to improve borrower outcomes.
• Perform ad hoc portfolio analytics for Collections leadership.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Ops and Product to implement analysis-driven strategy.
• Present findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
