Job summary

University of Southern California is seeking a Senior Collaboration Engineer in ITS to support enterprise collaboration platforms and lead a hands-on, remote, senior systems engineering role. You will work with IT teams, Cybersecurity, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize productivity across USC using tools such as Office 365, Google Workspace, Confluence, and more.

Qualifications

Extensive experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting collaboration software (Office 365, Google Suite, Confluence, JIRA, Dropbox, Qualtrics).
Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, email routing, and similar system tools.
Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and use automation tools (PowerShell, Unix shell, APIs).
Excellent written and oral communication, translate complex input into actionable outcomes.
Exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to enforce alignment with SLAs, policies, and regulations.

Responsibilities

Integrate and support a broad range of collaboration tools to optimize productivity across USC.
Engage with customers, vendors, and stakeholders in academic and administrative units.
Set strategies and priorities aligning department and university goals for collaboration projects.
Evaluate tool efficiency, propose improvements, and pilot new products.
Create and maintain knowledge base articles, tutorials, and training resources.
Maintain currency with evolving collaboration technologies and best practices.
