You will audit ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes, ensuring compliance with AHIMA standards and company ethics. The role demands 3+ years of coding and auditing experience, CIC/CCS or CPC/COC or AHIMA CCS/CCS-P certification, and strong Excel/Outlook skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production coding experience including hospital and/or physician practice coding and auditing.
• Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) or CCS or CPC/COC or AHIMA CCS/CCS-P certification.
• Experience with EMR and billing systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of coding quality specialists, assigning tasks, meeting deadlines and mentoring staff.
• Audit and code as part of individual responsibilities; maintain accuracy 95%+.
• Identify coding issues and recommend corrective actions to improve compliance.
• Communicate audit findings to staff and management clearly and timely.
• Maintain detailed records of audits and outcomes and ensure ethical coding standards.
