WVU Healthcare is seeking a Coding Education Lead in Louisville, KY to educate and train coding staff as directed by Coding Managers. This role oversees auditing, education plans, and ongoing feedback to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT coding and MS-DRG/HCC/APR-DRG assignments.

Formación

• Graduate of a Health Information Technology (HIT) or equivalent program with 5+ years coding experience, or
• Graduate of a Medical Coding Certification Program with 5+ years coding experience, or
• High School Diploma with 8 years coding experience.

Responsabilidades

• Manages coding staff training and development activities.
• Oversees quality improvement audits and education plans.
• Acts as expert coding resource for coders, providers, and revenue cycle teams.
• Maintains EMR data governance and updates coding policies and procedures.
• Coordinates audits and denial reviews with external agencies.
