Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Jasper, IN is seeking an Advanced Tool Management professional responsible for all aspects of in-house tool manufacturing, maintenance, development and testing to maximize productivity while upholding workmanship and safety standards.

You will lead the Tool room, ensure on-time tooling, implement standardized work, and foster vendor relationships to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Relevant technology/engineering degree is preferred but not required if previous work history supports.
Minimum 5 years machine operator experience with 2 of them on CNC.
Proficient with gauges such as dial bore gauge, micrometer, & profilometer.
Ability to read and create spec sheets.
Efficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Technical understanding of products being supported.
Lean Principles.
Effective problem solver.
Work with costing reports to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate resources within the Tool room to ensure tools are produced efficiently, on time and to quality standards.
Ensure all tooling activities comply with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Implement and maintain Standardized Work & Work Instructions.
Provide technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures.
Grow vendor relationships to support continuous improvement.
