Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to develop machining strategies from design data and to program and operate CNC equipment for flight-critical hardware. The role emphasizes collaboration with designers and machinists, tool/fixture design, and process improvements in a safety-focused environment.

Relocation is provided and multiple positions are available, with a strong emphasis on quality, manufacturability, and on-time delivery to support spaceflight programs.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Self-motivated with strong prioritization to meet deadlines.
• Advanced blueprint reading with GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994.

Responsibilities

• Develop machining strategy from design data to produce machined hardware.
• Develop Mills/Lathes and Multi Axis systems for production.
• Create and read setup sheets; design fixtures and tooling as needed.
• Develop and optimize CNC programs and tooling.
