Job summary

Blue Origin, a leader in commercial spaceflight, is seeking experienced CNC programmers and machinists in Huntsville. You will develop machining strategies, write programs for mills and multi-axis machines, and collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability of flight-critical hardware.

Strong background in nickel alloys and aluminum is required. Relocation offered and multiple positions available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 10 years in CNC programming with NX/UG or MasterCam.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.
• Tools fixture design and setup sheet creation.
• Must have nickel based alloys and aluminum experience.

Responsibilities

• Development of machining strategy to take design data and produce machined hardware.
• Develop manufacturing Mills/Lathes/Multi Axis Mills and Multi Axis Lathes/VTLs.
• Develop programs and set-up sheets for production runs.
• Design custom tools and fixtures as needed.
• Communicate with designers and machinists to ensure manufacturability.
