Job summary

GE Vernova in Schenectady, NY is seeking an experienced NC Programmer to develop, write, and verify machining programs for lathes, HBM’s, and NC machine centers, ensuring safe, reliable production.

You will use CAM software and Fanuc controllers, train operators, and collaborate with tooling and design teams to improve processes, build tooling definitions, and support EHS practices and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5 years of NC Programming and machine tool experience
• Ability to read drawings. Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Tolerancing Standards
• Strong knowledge and significant experience working in NC programming, machining and related planning
• Good oral and written communication skills, and organization ability.

Responsibilities

• Code and develop NC Programs for use on Lathes, HBM’s, NC Machine Centers, Field Slotters, and other NC driven equipment.
• Develop and revise tooling and NC programs in support of cycle and cost out initiatives, geared at working in team approach with machinists to improve processes on a regular meeting rhythm.
• Develop machine programs for NPI and new or advanced manufacturing processes and lines being introduced into the plant.
• Lead the development of EHS best practices for programs and processes.
