Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a skilled CNC programming engineer to contribute to the CAD/CAM team and drive high-efficiency multi-axis machining. You will design and optimize complex NC programs, validate toolpaths with Vericut, and help integrate new multi-axis machines on the shop floor.

The role emphasizes hands-on setup, debugging, and collaboration with Manufacturing Engineers to improve safety, quality, and delivery. A strong background in nickel-based superalloys is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience creating 5-axis CNC programs using a CAM system (NX preferred).
• Strong hands-on background in setup and proving complex first-piece programs.
• Ability to manage tight tolerances on large-format equipment (up to 2.5m).

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize high-efficiency CNC programs for multi-axis setups.
• Use Vericut to validate toolpaths in a risk-free virtual environment.
• Develop adaptive probing routines and closed-loop machining processes.
• Integrate new multi-million-dollar machine tools and establish standards.
• Mentor floor technicians and share knowledge across the team.
• Provide CNC programming support and operator training during startups.
