Job summary

GE Aerospace in Lynn, MA is seeking skilled machinists to develop and operate 2- to 5-axis NC processes for development hardware. You will read blueprints, set up machines, perform in-process checks including CMM, and drive process improvements across production cells.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years manufacturing experience, or 4+ years with HS diploma.
• NC programming experience (APT, UG, or similar).
• Proficient in geometry, trigonometry, blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Must be at least 18 years old due to safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2- and 3-axis NC processes for development hardware and 4–5 axis NC processes.
• Contribute to process improvement on mature hardware.
• Set up and operate machine tools for development/production cells.
• Work from blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions to produce hardware.
• Perform in-process checks including CMM setup.
• Troubleshoot process issues and support revisions to production planning.
• Provide direction to skilled employees involved in development and production.
• Perform other related duties as required.
