Job summary

GE Vernova in Schenectady, NY, seeks an experienced NC Programmer to develop, optimize, and support machining processes for rotor/field and large machine shops. You will write NC programs, specify tooling, and train operators to deliver high-quality parts.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of G-code, Fanuc controllers, CAM software (Mastercam, Vericut, CAD/CAM), and experience with tooling selection, DFM, and lean work; collaborative in a union environment, able to hit cycle targets and

Qualifications

• 5 years of NC programming and machine tool experience.
• Ability to read drawings. Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Tolerancing Standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Code and develop NC programs for lathes, NC machine centers, field slotters, and other NC equipment.
• Train operators to execute programs with quality results and maintain toolpaths.
• Collaborate with tooling engineers to specify and procure safe, reliable tooling.
• Develop and revise tooling and NC programs to improve processes and reduce cycle times.
