Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate world-class CNC machines fabricating components for BE-7 engine systems. You will develop NX CAM programs from scratch and machine parts on sophisticated multi-axis machines to ensure first article success with tight tolerances.

Role requires 7+ years CNC experience, 3+ years multi-axis work, and strong GD&T proficiency. Shift: B Shift - Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am.

Qualifications

• 7+ years related CNC experience
• 3+ years’ experience with multi axis machines
• 5+ years' experience with CNC CAM programming
• CNC programming skills, preferably NX 10 thru 2306 or MasterCam
• Experience with CNC machines including Mazak, Hass, DMG Mori, Mori Seiki, Hermle, G+F and/or Okuma
• Working knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, OSP or other)
• Excellent blue print reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard
• Ability to provide Design for Manufacturing feedback
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift 25 lbs

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to fabricate components for spaceflight systems
• Develop and implement unique engine component jobs from scratch in NX CAM, then machine parts on complex multi-axis machines
• Support first article and tight tolerance, high-value parts across the Combustion Devices Machinery value stream
