Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior CNC machinist to program, set up, operate, and maintain advanced CNC machines for BE-7 engine components. You will develop unique engine jobs in NX Cam, then machine parts on complex, multi-axis platforms.

The role emphasizes first article fabrication, tight tolerances, and collaboration across the Combustion Devices Machinery stream. You will read blueprints to ASME Y14.5M standards, provide feedback for manufacturability, and work the A shift in a high-safety,

Qualifications

• 7+ years CNC experience with precision tooling.
• 3+ years experience on multi-axis machines.
• 5+ years' experience programming with CNC CAM tools.
• Proficient in NX Cam or MasterCam programming.
• Experience with major CNC machines and controls listed.
• Strong blue print reading with GD&T per ASME Y14.5M.
• Good computer skills and data entry for FM feedback.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Program, setup, operate and maintain CNC machines for spaceflight components.
• Develop engine component jobs from scratch in NX Cam and run on multi-axis machines.
• Contribute to first article inspections and maintain tight tolerances.
• Support the Combustion Devices Machinery value stream for BE-7 engines.
• Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to improve producibility.
