Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking a CNC Programmer on 2nd shift responsible for programming and maintaining CNC equipment for prototype and production of composite parts. The role involves working with engineers, program managers, and operators to ensure precise, on-time parts using Mastercam and multi-axis mills/turns.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years CNC programming experience, strong GD&T skills, and familiarity with aerospace or defense quality requirements.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of CNC programming experience on lathes and multi-axis mills
• Strong GD&T knowledge to interpret drawings and select tools
• Experience with Mastercam programming (2020) for 3,4,5 axis geometry
• Ability to read engineering drawings and determine cutting speeds and feeds
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and documentation

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and specifications for a job
• Program CNCs and prove out programs before machining
• Train others in machine setup and maintenance
• Maintain records and ensure safety and health standards
• Work irregular hours as manufacturing schedules require
• Communicate status to managers and teams
