Northrop Grumman is seeking a skilled Milling Machine Machinist 4 for the 2nd shift (3:30 PM–12 AM) in Redondo Beach, CA. The role requires setting up and operating CNC and manual equipment to produce complex aerospace parts, interpreting drawings with GD&T, selecting tooling, and optimizing programs to meet quality and schedule goals.

Ideal candidates will have CAD/CAM experience (Mastercam/Smartcam/GIBBS), strong measurement and inspection skills, and the ability to mentor junior machinists

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED plus 6 years of CNC programming experience.
• Proficiency with Mastercam, Smartcam, or Gibbs.
• Experience in Swiss-type turning and/or mill-turn operations.
• Experience in multi-axis machining and turning with live tooling.
• Experience in high-speed machining.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings / GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and basic inspection documentation.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift (3:30 PM to 12 AM).

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate CNC and manual equipment to produce aerospace hardware.
• Interpret engineering drawings / GD&T and plan machining operations.
• Select tooling and workholding; verify offsets; create and adjust CNC programs at the machine.
• Maintain quality, schedule, and cost by monitoring processes and tooling.
• Mentor junior machinists and apprentices; support continuous improvement initiatives.
