Job summary

Tecomet in North Billerica, MA, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist III to produce precision parts by operating, setting up, and possibly programming CNC mills, wires, and lathes. You will read blueprints, apply tight tolerances, and maintain equipment while following GMP/GDP practices.

You will collaborate with engineering to improve fixtures, adjust tooling and offsets, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• Associate degree or certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, wire EDMs, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new production setups and adjust offsets/tooling.
• Perform difficult CNC work with very close tolerances on various metals.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Assist engineering with fixtures, tooling changes, and offset adjustments.
• Ensure product quality by following OOQ and using calibrated measuring tools.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for machining needs.
• Perform routine maintenance per PM schedule and daily checklists.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
