Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist III in Massachusetts to operate, set up, and possibly program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and lathes to tight tolerances. You will read blueprints, evaluate specifications, and troubleshoot CNC programs while adhering to GMP/GDP and OOQ standards.

You will propose new setups, adjust tooling and offsets, perform routine maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Strong attention to detail, safety, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in tooling & machining preferred.
• UK GCSE/NVQ maths and English desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling.
• Perform difficult CNC machining to maintain very close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions.
• Assist engineering with fixture redesigns to improve quality and productivity.
• Ensure product quality by OOQ standards and using measuring equipment.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining needs.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and daily PM checks.
• Hand finish parts as required.
