Job summary

Tecomet in Winchester, MA is seeking a CNC Machinist III to produce precision parts by operating and setting up CNC mills, wire EDMs, and CNC lathes. The role may involve basic programming and requires adherence to drawings, tolerances, GMP/GDP practices, and a drive for continuous improvement.

You will read blueprints, evaluate specifications, troubleshoot CNC programs, adjust speeds/feeds, and help develop better work instructions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling in machines as part of the new setup.
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work with very close tolerances on a variety of parts and metals.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work Instructions.
• Assist Engineering with redesigning fixtures to increase quality and productivity.
• Ensure product quality by following OOQ standards and using measuring equipment.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Identify and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues.
