Job summary

Tecomet in Lexington, MA seeks a skilled CNC Machinist III to produce machined parts by operating, setting up CNC mills, wires, and lathes to tight tolerances. This role may include some programming and requires adherence to GMP/GDP and OOQ quality standards.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot programs, adjust tooling, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining safe, efficient manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience preferred.
• Associate degree or certificate in tooling/machining preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDMs to specified tolerances.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling for new setups.
• Perform difficult CNC work with very close tolerances on a variety of parts and metals.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot and understand CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions.
• Assist engineering with fixtures, tooling wear, and offsets as needed.
• Ensure product quality per OOQ standards using measuring equipment.
• Record activities in job tracking system and support CI activities.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping and GMP/GDP compliance.
